Syngenta is excited to announce Vanecto™ Cockroach gel bait will become available in March for pest management professionals (PMPs) to prepare ahead of the peak pest control season. The active ingredient affects cockroaches’ nervous systems by binding at the GABA receptor and inhibiting the flow of chloride ions through the channel, leading to exhaustion and death. Fipronil is the only other pest management active ingredient that functions on the same receptor, but PLINAZOLIN technology has a unique, newly discovered binding site on this receptor. That means cockroaches that are resistant or tolerant to fipronil can still be controlled with Vanecto Cockroach without any cross-resistance.
