Multiplex Bait Station - A Smart Tool for Integrated Pest Management

Multiplex Bait Station - A Smart Tool for Integrated Pest Management

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is not an exact science. IPM programs must be customized to suit individual needs, pest problems and environmental conditions. Successful IPM requires careful monitoring and field knowledge, which can be complicated, but with the right tools, it can be much easier.

The Multiplex® Station helps create a customized approach to IPM in one easy-to-use device. As a hub for several different pest control methods, including baits, insecticides, traps and pheromone lures, the Multiplex Station offers more than 20 innovative features to provide an effective and functional IPM tool.

“One of the best things about the Multiplex Station is its flexibility to match individual needs,” said ElRay Roper, senior technical specialist for Syngenta Professional Pest Management. “It is innovatively designed with a full spectrum of interior materials to effectively target both rodents and insects.”

There is no one size fits all approach to IPM.  IPM plans must be customized to be successful. One of the biggest keys to success is choosing the right tool(s) for the job. With its versatility and broad-spectrum options, the Multiplex Station is a good choice for Pest Management Professionals (PMPs).

The Multiplex Station is tamper and weather resistant. It is designed so that mice, rats and other rodents have their own compartments and cannot access insect compartments. Moreover, the station’s light color allows the interior to stay cooler.  Open doorways and inner ramps ensure pests get to the bait but that the bait is protected from moisture, helping preserve bait integrity, improve pest control and save customers time and money.

“The bait station is expertly built to be durable and long-lasting. Each feature and compartment of the bait station serves a strategic purpose to control rodents, as well as insects such as ants and flies,” said Roper. “With separate compartments, entrances and control tactics for different pests, the Multiplex bait station offers an ideal approach to IPM.”

With so many control options in one unit, users can choose which tactics will be most effective for them, which provides a customized IPM approach.

For maximum results, use the Multiplex Station with the following products:

·         Weatherblok® XT rodenticide for cleanout of heavy rodent infestations.

·         Talon® G rodenticide to attract and bait rodents, especially mice.

·         Optigard® Ant Gel Bait can be applied in the small removable tray within the crawling insect chamber for superior ant control.

·         Demand® CS insecticide with iCAP technology™ can be sprayed around and on top of the bait station for control of flying insects and other general pests.
