Double your business options and keep ants away with Advion Ant and Optigard Ant gel baits

Ants are expected to stir up as much trouble as ever this summer. In PCT Magazine’s annual “State of the Ant Market” report, 92 percent of Pest Management Professionals (PMPs) across the country expect cases of ant infestations in their markets to increase or remain steady in 2016.1 Since ant control services generate nearly 20 percent of revenue for PMPs every year according to the survey, keeping ants in check is crucial to customer satisfaction – and business success. To keep ants away and your customers’ lives uninterrupted, Syngenta offers two market-leading ant gel baits to help you provide comprehensive ant control on customers’ properties.

Advion Ant gel bait delivers results across the ant spectrum

Advion® Ant gel bait provides control of 19 key ant species, including sweet-feeding ants – more than any other ant gel bait on the market. That’s because its formulation takes into account how ant feeding preferences change over time, from sweet foods to proteins and oils. Advion Ant also combines elements in food grade inert carriers, carbohydrates and other attractants to better appeal to the targeted ant species. While some ant control products can be compromised when other food sources are in the same area as a bait, ants have been shown to favor Advion Ant over competing food sources.

The active ingredient in Advion Ant, indoxacarb, causes a slight delay in ant mortality that allows ants to share the bait with other ants as they return to the nest. Its translucent, odorless and non-staining formulation means your customers will be uninterrupted by the product in and around their properties.

Optigard Ant gel bait keeps control clean, fast and long-lasting

Optigard® Ant gel bait, featuring the active ingredient thiamethoxam, also offers control of a broad spectrum of ants without disrupting your customers’ day-to-day activities. Its clear, odorless formulation controls ant species including Argentine, carpenter and odorous house ants without staining treated surfaces.

High temperatures can neutralize some baits, but Optigard Ant remains palatable for at least 14 days after baiting. Once applied, the consistency of Optigard Ant makes it easy for ants to carry it back to the colony and share with their nest mates, and they will continue to feed on Optigard Ant even if the product dries out over time. Packaged in ready-to-use, 30-gram syringes, the product can be applied indoors and outdoors to areas such as attics, crawl spaces and behind kitchen appliances.

Make the best choice for your ant control service and choose Advion Ant or Optigard Ant gel baits to give your customers an ant-free environment. For more information about Advion Ant and Optigard Ant gel baits, please
