Stop Termites from Infiltrating Buildings via Utility Lines

Termites can enter buildings through gaps formed from utility lines passing through concrete foundations. Once inside the gaps, termites make their way through the walls where they wreak havoc and do a great deal of damage, often before their presence is even detected. Impasse™ Termite Blocker was developed to stop termites from entering buildings via utility lines.

Termites travel through gaps and then tunnel between concrete and PVC pipe, to build a shelter tube from the pipe to a wood source. Pipe wrap, required by plumbing codes throughout most of the country, gives termites an easy avenue in which to penetrate such gaps. If thick wrap is used, it could lead to even more trouble because the coating further protects the termites from soil-applied termiticides.

To help alleviate this problem, it is highly recommended that pest management professionals install Impasse Termite Blockers before concrete slabs are poured. Impasse Termite Blocker provides lifetime protection against termites entering around utility lines. For added convenience, blockers are available for a specific pipe size and install in just about one minute so construction schedules are not impacted.

For the most effective use of Impasse Termite Blocker, always read and follow label directions. If you have questions about Impasse or would like to become an authorized installer, contact your Syngenta sales representative or the Syngenta Customer Center at 1-866-SYNGENTA.
