Bed Bug Central finds reliable bed bug control with Demand CS insecticide.

Finding a solution to bed bug control is a difficult task that requires careful consideration of the right products. That’s why Phil Cooper, CEO of Bed Bug Central in Lawrenceville, N.J., has trusted Demand® CS insecticide from Syngenta Professional Pest Management to provide bed bug-free environments for his customers for six years and counting.
Cooper is a second generation pest management industry veteran who is also CEO of Cooper Pest Solutions in Lawrenceville, N.J. As an active member of various pest management committees, as well as incoming president of the New Jersey Pest Management Association in June 2014, he is heavily involved in the fight against bed bugs and other insects.
“Demand CS has been front and center in our bed bug arsenal for a long time,” Cooper says. “We have switched out a lot of our bed bug materials, but Demand CS has survived.”
Demand CS meets a trifecta of importance
Demand CS provides immediate and residual control of more than 30 insects, including bed bugs. Cooper says that Demand CS has continuously withstood much scrutinizing from the team of bed bug and industry experts at Bed Bug Central.
“When we’re evaluating products, we’re looking at three criteria,” Cooper explains. “One, how flexible is the label? Two, are we happy with the active ingredient? And three, how is the active ingredient delivered?
“Demand CS passes all three criteria, and that’s why it has remained a staple for us.”
iCAP technology delivers efficiency
The active ingredient in Demand CS, lambda-cyhalothrin, is protected by iCAP technology, a unique microencapsulated formulation developed by Syngenta. iCAP technology protects the insecticide from harsh environmental conditions and provides residual control of insects for up to three months, both indoors and outdoors.
“Because the active ingredient is delivered through the microcaps, it is released over a long period of time for residual control,” Cooper explains. “This formulation makes Demand CS a really nice product.”
Inside applications for reduced callbacks
Cooper uses Demand CS as his number one product for interior applications. He says the non-staining formulation of Demand CS makes it ideal for treating customers’ properties indoors as a crack-and-crevice or spot treatment, especially where bed bugs may hide such as along baseboards, behind headboards and on bed frames.
“The label is flexible, which allows us to use the product in a variety of ways for a bed bug treatment,” he says. “We don’t have high callback rates, so it’s exceeding our expectations and reaching a desired effectiveness.”
Syngenta support matters
Cooper has been doing business with Syngenta for more than 10 years and uses other Syngenta products such as Advion® ant gel bait and Advion® cockroach gel bait. He appreciates the support that Syngenta offers him for continued business success.
“Syngenta is an amazing steward for the industry,” Cooper says. “We like knowing that a manufacturer is going to stand by its product, and we feel very confident that if there was an issue, the technical team at Syngenta would be there by our side and help us through it.”
